ROM Utrecht Region lanceert Earth Ventures

Investeren op het snijvlak van slimme duurzaamheid, klimaat en de toekomstbestendige leefomgeving. Tijdens Crossroads, het grootste startup event in de regio, lanceerde Arjan van den Born, directeur van de ROM Utrecht Region op 8 november een aantal nieuwe Ventures. Een daarvan is Earth Ventures.

Van den Born: “Earth Ventures staat voor investeren in (Slimme) duurzaamheid, die nodig is voor de toekomstbestendigheid van onze leefomgeving. Earth Ventures draagt bij aan het stimuleren van innovatie binnen het Earth Valley ecosysteem, door fondsen beschikbaar te stellen voor start-ups,/ scaleups en innovatief MKB. Ondernemers kunnen bij ons terecht voor investering op onderwerpen als

  • Duurzaam (gebouwde) omgeving
  • Energietransitie
  • Mobiliteit
  • Klimaatadaptatie”

Utrecht Region is rijk aan start-ups, scaleups en innovatief MKB die waarde toevoegen aan deze en bredere duurzaamheidsthema’s, of dit in de toekomst kunnen gaan doen. Earth Ventures beoogt deze schaalbare, innovatieve ondernemingen, die voldoen aan de eisen, te ondersteunen met investeringen uit de fondsen die het tot zijn beschikking heeft.

ROM Utrecht Region launches Earth Ventures

Investing at the intersection of smart sustainability, climate and the future-proof environment. On 8 November, Arjan van den Born, director of the ROM Utrecht Region, launched a number of new Ventures at Crossroads, the largest startup event in the region. One of these is Earth Ventures.

Van den Born: “Earth Ventures is about investing in the (smart) sustainability which is needed to future-proof our living environment. Earth Ventures contributes to fostering innovation within the Earth Valley ecosystem by making funds available for startups/ scaleups and innovative SMEs. Entrepreneurs can come to us for investment in areas such as

  • Sustainable (built) Environment
  • Energy Transition
  • Mobility
  • Climate Adaptation”

Utrecht Region has a rich array of startups, scaleups and innovative SMEs that add value to these areas, along with broader sustainability themes, or have the potential to do so in the future. Earth Ventures aims to support these scalable, innovative companies, which meet the requirements, with investments from the funds at its disposal.
